Changelog
StoreLocale Changelog
This changelog lists user-facing changes to StoreLocale, newest first, each with the date it shipped. Entries cover new localization features, editor and export improvements, pricing and credit changes, and account security updates. Internal and infrastructure work is left out, so every entry describes something you can see or use in the product.
Frameful is now StoreLocale
The product formerly known as Frameful is now called StoreLocale and lives at storelocale.com. Accounts, projects, and credits carry over unchanged.
Localization guides and language pages
New guides and language pages explain how to plan, translate and review localized store screenshots, with store locale codes and official sources on every page.
- Guides cover the end-to-end translation workflow, locale codes, text expansion, right-to-left layouts and a pre-submission checklist.
- Ten language pages, from Japanese to Arabic, list App Store Connect and Google Play Console codes and typography checks.
- Video thumbnail localization explains how to translate the text on YouTube thumbnails and short-video covers.
Safer project data handling
Project data is validated more strictly when it is saved and loaded, which makes projects more reliable.
Faster media loading and clear upload errors
Project images load faster and are cached more efficiently.
- Screenshots that are too large now show a readable error instead of an endless spinner.
- Long-running requests are stopped by a timeout rather than hanging.
Guides for store screenshot sizes and localization
New pages explain App Store screenshot sizes, screenshot localization, screenshot translation and ASO screenshot workflows.
Sign in with Google or GitHub
You can now sign in with a Google or GitHub account. Accounts are linked only through verified email addresses.
Cleaner in-place text replacement
Localized text is replaced where it sits, with fewer duplicated or stuttering words.
- Inpainting now targets each string more narrowly, so less of the surrounding area is altered.
- Text detection recovers better from errors.
Easier language picking
Search for a language by its English or native name.
- Choosing a new preview language adds it to the project automatically.
Export confirmation and sync recovery
Review and adjust the selected locales before an export starts.
- If your session expires while you edit, you can sign in again without losing work.
Posters and video kept intact
Movie posters, video frames and other media artwork are detected and left untouched during localization.
- Generation steps down to a supported resolution automatically when the requested one is not available.
Cross-tab sync and larger projects
Edits now sync across open browser tabs.
- Projects can be up to 100 MB.
- Sync errors are explained more clearly.
Resizable panel and export options
Several editor and export improvements.
- The properties panel can be resized.
- Exports can filter sizes by device type and keep original file names.
- Your selected slide is remembered between sessions.
- Uploading more screenshots adds them as new slides.
Standard, Pro and Ultra quality tiers
Choose Standard (1K, 1 credit), Pro (2K, 2 credits) or Ultra (4K, 4 credits) for each generation. Localization prompts were also improved for more faithful results.
One-time credit packs and rate limits
Credits are sold as one-time packs with no subscription. See pricing.
- Sign-in and generation are protected by rate limits.
Free text detection, 2FA and CAPTCHA
Detecting text in screenshots no longer uses credits.
- Optional two-factor authentication with an authenticator app.
- CAPTCHA and stronger session security protect accounts.
Credits, device frames and dark mode
A visible AI credit balance, realistic device frames and a light or dark theme.
